ACTIVITIES

Activities are included in the programs and are scheduled at various times throughout the day.

YOGA

​

 

Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and is a stress-free form of exercise that is great for increasing flexibility and balance. Yoga can also be used for relieving stress and promoting increased relaxation. Our classes include easy poses, gentle stretching and deep breathing. Those who are more advanced in their yoga practices are encouraged to work at a level that is appropriate for them.

HIKING / BIKING / BOATING

Enjoy the many outdoor activities our natural setting in Northern Minnesota has to offer!  Depending on the season, activities may include hiking, biking, boating, golf, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Some activities may require an additional fee. Guests are free to bring their own bicycles and sporting equipment. Enjoy the many country roads or hiking/cross country ski trails. The Mesabi Trails are 20 minutes from the resort. 

STRESS REDUCTION/RELAXATION THROUGH GUIDED IMAGERY

Guided imagery practices can be effective in promoting a healing response in the body through relaxation and stress reduction.  Regular practice enhances personal and spiritual growth. Our stress reduction classes utilize guided imagery and are designed to be enjoyed by those of all physical conditions. Participants may be seated in a chair or may sit or lie on floor mats.

RAW FOOD PREP CLASSES

Learn different ways to prepare delicious, nutrient dense raw foods including guilt-free healthy snacks. Raw food "cooking" techniques include demonstrations for preparing green smoothies, sprouted, dehydrated nuts and seeds, savory soups, raw crackers and more! Take home recipes will be provided.
